An awareness programme on the POCSO Act was organized for the 5st to 7th std students of St Lawrence Hr pry school Bondel. The session was conducted by the resource person Sr Ileene Joy Dsouza, who addressed the students on child rights, personal safety, and the Human trafficking available under the POCSO Act for both boys and girls.
She highlighted the importance of understanding safe and unsafe situations, the responsibility to report abuse, and the support systems available for children. The session aimed to empower students to protect themselves and others, and to create a safer learning environment.
A total of 110 students and 2 staff members along with the Headmistress actively participated in that programme. The good feedback received from the school management side.
