On 20th January 2026, Jeevandhara Social Service Trust, in collaboration with SDM Mangala Jyothi Integrated school Vamanjoor, conducted an important Awareness Programme on Human Trafficking, led by Sr Ileene Dsouza. The session was attended by 72 students, who participated actively and attentively throughout the programme.
Sr Ilene highlighted that traffickers often gain the trust of vulnerable children and families, making it easier for them to manipulate or coerce victims.. Women and children, she emphasized, remain the most vulnerable groups and are frequently targeted for sex trafficking due to their social and economic vulnerability.
The Headmaster and staff expressed gratitude to Sr Ileene Dsouza for her valuable guidance and commitment to protecting young people from exploitation.
