Sowing Seeds of Peace Session at St Raymond’s High School

A thought-provoking and interactive Peace Education session was held at St Raymond’s English Medium High School, Vamanjoor, on 23rd September 2025 led by Sr Flavia Wilma BS, the Social Work Coordinator of  Mangalore Province. The one-hour session aimed to instill the values of peace, non-violence, and mutual respect among students.

Sr Flavia Wilma BS highlighted the importance of peace in everyday life, drawing inspiration from global icons like Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai and Nelson Mandela. Through their life stories, students learned valuable lessons on forgiveness, courage, and the power of non-violent resistance. Encouraging students to become “ambassadors of peace” in their classrooms and communities, Sr Flavia Wilma shared simple, practical strategies to handle conflict, embrace differences, and spread positivity. The session was well-received by the students, who actively participated and left feeling empowered to create a more harmonious world around them.
